Welcome
the EACR 2013 preconference on "Moral dynamics and socially
responsible consumer behavior".
The goal of this EACR preconference is to stimulate research on the
moral dimensions of consumer behavior. Consumers' ethical,
environmental, and social values often conflict with alternative goals
and interests. We will discuss recent research on the cognitive
processes that both precede and follow decisions in such situations of
goal conflict. As self-control is often an unreliable source for
inhibiting self-interested behavior, we will consider alternative
mechanisms that facilitate socially responsible consumption.
We
have an excellent line-up of speakers, see [speakers]
The
conference will take place on Thursday, July 4.
