The luck of the draw...

One of the major moments of my (personal) and professional life was getting to be the PhD student, colleague, and friend of the late Hillel J. Einhorn.  Hardly a day has gone by since Hilly died in 1987 that I have not had some thoughts asssociated with him.

The piece below describes how he started the Center for Decision Research at the University of Chicago.

As seen by the Spanish media

Here's a nice bio prepared by the Spanish media...

Here's something from Catalan media..

PhD students

One of my professional blessings has been my involvement with PhD students.  I currently categorize these interesting people in four groups.

A.        Former PhD students for whom I acted as principal advisor/director or co-advisor/co-director.
B.        Former PhD students to whose thesis work I contributed without being the advisor/director.
C.        PhD students for whom I acted as external examiner or a similar role.
D.        Current PhD students.

Please let me know about any errors or omissions.
