José García-Montalvo (Ph.D. Harvard University): microeconomic evaluation of development projects; education; randomized experiments; political economy of foreign aid; rural inequality. Countries of expertise: Mozambique, Ethiopia, Philippines, and China.

Stephan Litschig (Columbia University, affiliated from September 2008): intergovernamental tranfers, local governance, education, income distribution. Countries of expertise: Brasil.

Francesc Ortega (Ph.D. New York University): immigration and demography and globalization; immigration and human capital.
