I am a professor of management at the Department of Economics and Business, Universitat Pompeu Fabra. I am also the director of the Institut d'Estudis
Territorials, the head of the Research Group in Logistics (GREL). Since I do not have too much work to do, I am
also the vicerector of my university, UPF.

- New research group in
Logistics: GREL. The group is composed of faculty
members that do research in, guess what, business logistics.
- Master in Management, at the GPEM!!!
Current Research Interests
Location theory and
modelling in logistics is my general research topic. I am involved in the location
of hubs, location of facilities in the presence of congestion, emergency
services and competitive discrete location. I am also interested in operations
management, metaheuristics and in combinatorial
optimization. Another research area where I am involved is health care
management with special emphasis in quantitative methods. I also work in urban
and regional economics, with special emphasis in infrastructures.
